At what age did you begin playing football and what motivated you to play?

I started playing when I was around seven. I used to watch the NFL with my dad and my brothers. I would see them doing all kinds of different moves, so I wanted to try.

Do you play any other sports in high school?

I play basketball and I am on the track team as well. In track, I run the 400 and 800. I also do the long jump. Both of these sports definitely help with my speed and endurance. The long jump also helps with my explosiveness.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you as a player?

I think they would describe me as a physical player. They know I’m smart enough to know where everyone is supposed to be on the field.

What advice would you give to younger players who want to play high school football one day?

I would tell younger players to not pursue this sport if they are not ready to grind and put in the work. You have to really work hard to get where you want to be. It takes a lot of hard work in high school that will eventually pay off.

Outside of sports, do you have any hobbies?

Outside of sports, I play video games. I love to play Madden!

What are your strengths?

What do you do in your offseason?

I basically try to gain weight. With the new weight that I gain, I make sure that I can still run up and down the field with the new weights.

Do you have any specific personal goals for next season?

For next season, I would love to win a state championship. I would also like to win MVP All-State.

What are some pregame activities that your team does?

Before the game, we like to get hype in the locker room. We play this certain song every game that always gets us hype.

What would you say motivates you the most?

I would say my mom motivates me the most. She goes through stuff daily, but still is always there to help me reach my goals.

What has football taught you about life?

Football has taught me that sometimes it will be hard. You have to just fight through it. Fight through the rainy days and the sun will shine the next day.

What’s the most challenging thing about your position?

Not knowing what routes others will be running can be hard.

Have you thought of a major?

Yes I have. I would like to major in Physical Therapy.
