Bryce Restovich, QB, Loyola College Prep

Bryce Restovich is a deadeye quarterback for Loyola College Prep. Bryce is quite the athlete, for he is exceeding in football as just a sophomore, as well he succeeds in other sports. Making the varsity basketball team as a freshman, as well being an honorable mention for All-District. Bryce has been able to lead Loyola Prep to an outstanding season, where last week he had a game to remember. In their win against Sophie B. Wright, Bryce would score a total of 5 touchdowns, passing for 287 yards on 22 attempts. He would also rush for 19 yards on 5 attempts. Bryce compares himself to Josh Allen, for they both have the ability to scramble while keeping their eyes downfield looking for an open receiver. Bryce is very poise in the pocket, which allows him to complete passes and help lead his team to victories. Bryce has set multiple goals for himself as a player, for these consist of breaking the all-time quarterback records at Loyola Prep, as well as getting a D1 scholarship. The recruiting process has been slow for Bryce, but only being a sophomore we can expect this to speed up for him very soon. With performances such as last week, it will be impossible for coaches to look past Bryce, for he has much to offer to any school that gives him the opportunity to play at the next level. Look for Bryce to gain the attention of coaches across the country as he enters his Junior year at Loyola College Prep.

Check out my Interview with Bryce below:

What created your love for the game?

“When I was around 3 years old, my dad and I would have a competition with how many times I could catch the football in a row.  It was a lot of fun and he celebrated each time I would break my record.  As I got older, he coached me through 5th grade teaching me the fundamentals of the game. We watched tons of college and NFL games each weekend. Watching Tom Brady as a kid and hearing his story had a huge impact on me as well.”

What would you say your biggest strengths on the field are?

“My ability to move out of the pocket while keeping my eyes down the field as well as staying calm in the pocket.”

Which NFL player do you relate your style of play to?

“Josh Allen because he does a lot of running while keeping his eyes down the field. He is also very calm in the pocket.”

What have been your biggest improvements the last couple of years?

“My pocket awareness and arm strength.”

How has the recruiting process been for you as a player?

“So far it’s been pretty slow, but I am patient and letting God take the wheel. There’s only so much I can control and that’s not something I can control.”

What are some self goals you have as a player?

“To set and break all the quarterback records at my school before I leave, getting a D1 scholarship, becoming the best quarterback I can be, and working super hard during this offseason.”

How have your coaches helped you become a better player?

“My coaches have helped me become a better player by helping through my progressions, reading defenses, and increasing my football IQ.”
