White Castle DL Damorion Burks has committed to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, an incredible achievement for a man who doesn’t even consider this his main sport.
Damorion Burks oozes with athletic talent in everything he does, and it all starts with his size. 6’7″, 280 lbs. That’s a big dude, and he moves people. It is perhaps unsurprising that his main sport for his whole life wasn’t football but instead basketball, where most of his focus has been. He only started playing football 2 years ago, and in those 2 years he has already earned all-district honors. The sky is truly the limit for Burks if he continues to train and learn more technique at a certain position.
He’ll primarily be playing on the defensive line (where I can only assume he’ll play defensive tackle), but he might see some play on both sides of the ball. On defense, he averaged 1.5 sacks a game, and on offense, he didn’t give up any sacks the whole season. An ankle injury unfortunately cut his season short, so this bowl game is a critical opportunity for him to show all that he can do.
I’m very excited and thankful for the opportunity to show off my skills on a stage like this. I would like to receive an offer for a college to further my football career.
