Ouachita Parish High School (Monroe, LA) DB CJ Spurs has committed to the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. He is providing a spark of athleticism to the secondary.
CJ is just a really good all around player. He can do everything needed for a defensive back, and he can do it well. He’s a solid tackler with a willingness to get physical. His play recognition and football IQ are impressive. His very good in coverage because of his amazing speed, as he’s record a 4.4 40 yard dash time. He’s an all around great athlete, as he also played RB, WR, and returned kicks for his team. He was the do-it-all guy for his team, the best player on the field.
He can do everything on the field, and he has shown a lot off of it as well. With a 3.0 GPA, he has proved the kind of work ethic he has in the classroom. He already has 3 offers, including one from Centenary, but this game tomorrow is his big chance. He has this opportunity, and CJ Spurs is not going to let it go.
The opportunity to show my game being utilized the way I want to be utilized is what I am looking forward to the most.
