BREAKING NEWS: Episcopal High School (Baton Rouge, LA) RB Reid Chauvin Commits To The 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game

Our second running back has committed to play in the 2024 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game after Jennings High School 2025 RB Re’John Zeno committed to the game last week. Following in the footsteps of last year’s Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game Offensive MVP and current Navy running back Braeden George is his former teammate Reid Chauvin from Episcopal High Scool in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Entering the 2024 season, Chauvin is one of the best running backs in the Baton Rouge area and in the state of Louisiana that is full of great running backs. The 5’9, 195 pound running back is now the lead back for the Knights after sharing duties with George the last two seasons. Still, he put up some impressive numbers running in the Knights’ Wing T offense with 1,284 yards and 20 total touchdowns last season. This was after a breakout sophomore campaign in which he accounted for 939 total yards and 18 touchdowns.

Although Chauvin is a talented running back and one of the more productive players returning in the state, he is also known for his powerlifting. Chauvin squats an impressive 600 pounds in the weight room and is a two time LHSAA Powerlifting state champion the last two years. His blend of incredible lower body strength and quickness hitting the hole makes him a tough back to stop.

While also being an accomplished athlete, he is just as effective in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA and a 28 ACT score. Right now, Reid Chauvin is surprisingly looking for his first college offer, but he hopes that a great senior season and a productive outing in this year’s Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game will attract the attention of college coaches.

“I’m blessed to play football even more after my high school career and I hope God continues to give me these opportunities to keep playing.”
