Breaking News: Christ Presbyterian Academy (TN) Four Star CB Ondre Evans Commits To LSU

This is turning out to be a good week for the LSU Tigers as they have picked up their third commitment this week and their 18th overall for the 2024 class in Christ Presbyterian Academy four star cornerback prospect Ondre Evans.

The 6’1, 180 pound prospect runs a 4.4/40, a 10.55 in the 100 meters, a 21.85 time in the 200 meters, and is the number four overall prospect in the state of Tennessee. Evans chose the Tigers over the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, NC State, among others. He was offered by over 30 schools, but his conversations with cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples played an important role in his early commitment.

“All of the schools have great coaches, but Coach Steeples is a really good coach who’s calm and chill. That’s the type of coach I like.”

“It’s DBU. They develop defensive backs and carry themselves with swagger and I like that. The fan base is crazy and I love the coaches. There’s a lot of things about LSU that I like.”

The decision was made before making his official visit with the Tigers this weekend.

“The decision kind of came quickly for me so I didn’t want to wait. I love LSU. I feel comfortable there and I had a good time when I was down there for their camp. Why not go where you feel the most comfortable?”
