To start the second half the Greyhounds struggle to get things going to start the second quarter, going three-and-out on their opening drive. They are forced to punt, but fortune favors them as they manage to force a fumble on the Bulldogs’ return. The Greyhounds recover and take over possession, but their offensive struggles continue. Despite the turnover, they go four-and-out and give the ball back to the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs’ offense doesn’t find much rhythm either, as they go three-and-out on their next possession and punt the ball back to the Greyhounds. The Greyhounds start to make some headway on the ground, moving the ball down the field. However, their drive ends abruptly when the Bulldogs’ defense steps up with a critical interception in the end zone, halting the Greyhounds’ scoring opportunity. With just 46 seconds remaining in the half, the Bulldogs quickly go to work, looking to extend their lead. Quarterback Sladen Shack keeps his cool and leads a rapid drive down the field, capping it off with a perfectly thrown pass to Tyson Robinson, who hauls it in for a touchdown. The Bulldogs now lead 21-6 with only 13 seconds left in the second quarter. The Bulldogs kick off to the Greyhounds, but time runs out on the clock, and the first half comes to a close with the Bulldogs in control, 21-6.

The Bulldogs take over at the Greyhounds’ 15-yard line, poised to add to their lead. However, fortune favors the Greyhounds once again as they manage to force a crucial fumble, recovering possession and keeping their hopes alive. Despite the turnover, the Greyhounds’ offense struggles to capitalize and are ultimately forced to turn the ball over on downs after another failed drive. The Bulldogs, now with renewed possession, methodically march down the field. Their offense moves with precision, and by the time the third quarter draws to a close, they find themselves on the Greyhounds’ 3-yard line, knocking on the door for another potential touchdown. As the quarter expires, the Bulldogs continue to lead 21-6
The Greyhounds’ hopes of a comeback quickly fade as they go three-and-out on their next possession, giving the ball back to the Bulldogs. On the very next play, the Bulldogs’ Jay McQueen catches a pass and takes it all the way to the end zone for a touchdown, further increasing the lead to 31-6 with 8:13 left in the game. Not ready to go down without a fight, the Greyhounds mount a solid drive of their own, pushing deep into Bulldog territory. The drive culminates with a hard-fought touchdown run by Freshman QB Chalmers Bergin, bringing the score to 31-13 with 3 minutes remaining on the clock. With time running out, the Greyhounds attempt an onside kick, hoping for one last shot at a miracle. However, the Bulldogs recover the ball and take control of the game. They efficiently run out the clock, sealing the victory. As the final whistle blows, the Brandon Bulldogs emerge victorious, 31-13, and are crowned the South State Champions. They advance to the finals, where they will look to complete their championship run.
