After it was announced that Franklinton High School QB Jacob Crain committed to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. It looks like his number one wide receiver will be joining him as Damikies McClain has also officially committed to play in the 7th annual Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be held on Tuesday, December 30th at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, Louisiana.
Like his quarterback, Damikies McClain has been a record setting playmaker for the Demons over his prep career. The sure handed Demons receiver became the first receiver in program history to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving in a season and has had over 2,000 yards receiving in his career.
Making 1st Team All-District, the Crain-McClain connection was money all season long as the 6’0, 165 pound wide receiver finished the 2025 season with 75 catches for 1,057 yards and nine touchdowns. He hit the 1,000 yard plateau after finishing with over 900 yards and eight touchdowns receiving the year prior while helping the Demons reach the Division II Non-Select State Championship Game.
Rated as a three star by Gridiron Football, the record breaker received his official invite to play in the 2025 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game after an impressive Top Camp Performance at John Curtis High School earlier this offseason. His hands and ability to make plays after the catch really set him apart.
With a 3.2 GPA, McClain does have a college offer, but he is looking to show off his ability in front of college coaches at the end of the year.
“It’s going to be fun playing in the bowl game especially having my quarterback there with me as a guy that can throw me the ball. I came out here to earn my spot for the bowl game. I am really glad that I worked for it.”
