Here is what you have all been waiting for! The 2024 Gridiron Football Player of the Year finalists have been announced!
Below before you go out and vote, Gridiron Football beat writers Jace LeJeune and Alex Allison reveal all of the 40 finalists for the Gridiron Football Player of the Year on the Gridiron Football Player of the Week Show, which you can find at the poll below. To be a Gridiron Football Player of the Year finalist, you had to have been either a Gridiron Football Player of the Week, a constant Gridiron Football Player of the Week finalist, or a participant in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game.
With 40 finalists this year, we once again are going to let the fans decide who the Gridiron Football Player of the Year should be. Like it was with the Gridiron Football Player of the Week, you can either vote for your favorite player multiple times or you can also donate votes to Gridiron Football for your favorite player.
***Since Gridiron Football is now a 501c3 non-profit organization, we are accepting donations to help us with funds for our Gridiron Football Events for the 2025 season. You can donate at the link below and select the player of your choosing in the dropdown menu on the donation link. Every dollar that is donated will be 10 extra votes to the player of your choosing.
The first week of voting will end on Friday, January 17th at 12:00 P.M. The top 10 vote getters will move on to the final week of voting, which will begin on Friday, January 17th at 5:00 P.M. and will end on Friday, January 24th at 5:00 P.M. The winner for Gridiron Football Player of the Year will be announced on Monday, January 27th at noon!
Every vote matters for the first week of voting to decide who will be the 10 finalists that will move onto the next round, but the only votes that will be carried over to the second week will be the donation votes. It is important to note that whoever has the most donation votes from the first week will have the lead heading into the second week of voting and not necessarily who had the most overall votes from the first week of voting so donations are highly encouraged!
The winner will receive a letterman jacket patch that says “2024 Gridiron Football Player of the Year” as well as an interview talking about their season and career.
We are excited to say that four different states including Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and Oklahoma were represented on the 2023 Gridiron Football Player of the Year finalists list, and next season, we look to expand the Gridiron Football Player of the Week/Year to even more states in 2024!

*We are about to begin the 2025 Gridiron Football Season and if you are a player that wants to be apart of the 2025 Gridiron Football Junior High All-American Bowl Game or the 2025 Gridiron Football Senior All-American Bowl Game, you must be at our events to be considered for the game. This will apply especially to Louisiana athletes since we have growing interest from outside the state. We are inviting top performers from our 7v7 tournaments, our elite camps, and finally, our Gridiron Football Media Day. We already have our first 7v7 tournament and two elite camps posted below.
