U-High 2025 Four Star LB Keylan Moses Commits To LSU

One of the biggest names in the state of Louisiana from the 2025 class made his commitment announcement tonight and chose to stay right at home as U-High four-star linebacker Keylan Moses chose to play for the team that is right across the street from him at LSU.

“Just being a part of this culture means a lot to me. Like I said, growing up and watching the 2019 team and being in that culture and being a Tiger means a lot. I want to hold that on my back forever. I want to graduate from Louisiana State University. I love to be a Tiger. I just want to be a Tiger since the beginning.”

Moses recently narrowed down his decision to LSU, Oregon, Florida, Texas, and Tennessee, but for him, it was always LSU because of the program providing a family atmosphere. In speaking of family, Moses is the younger brother of Dylan Moses, who was a high school phenom that ended up signing with Alabama. The younger sibling was able to use that advice and Dylan’s experience with the process to help him make his decision.

“Definitely have more fun with the process. He was kind of rushed and being a child phenom, there was a lot of pressure, but seeing him growing up and taking it like a man, it was tough, but he did it. Watching him, I definitely learned a lot. It made me who I am today. I have to thank him because without him, I don’t know where I would be. Just watched him and his process is a blessing.”

Thursday, November 30th was not only a special date for LSU fans, but it was a special day for Moses himself as he made his decision on his 17th birthday.

“I really wanted to focus on my senior year aspect. I wanted to be there for my team. I didn’t want any distractions. I didn’t want to be selfish. I wanted to be there for my team and I know I am going to have to take over a big leader role when Harry Beacham goes over to Navy. I am ready for it and I promise Coach Martin that I’ll do everything that it takes to win another one because I know we are going to win this one.”

The 1st Team All-District selection is a phenomenal athlete as he is a two way star for the U-High Cubs as not only a linebacker, but a running back. His raw blend of speed, length, instincts, and incredible athleticism makes him a must get, and the Tigers were able to do that. With guys like Frank Wilson and Joe Sloan leading the way in his recruitment, Moses is excited to play a major role in LSU’s defense.

“Basically, they are telling me that I am going to be just like Perk (Harold Perkins) or better. Way better. I hope he don’t beat me up for that.”

“I love watching Harold Perkins the most. Considering that they are using me and his representation, I have always been watching him. He is a role model to me and sometimes, we talk and it’s little bro this little bro that, but I really appreciate that coming from him. It’s to a point where I am going to be playing your role. It’s giving me a boost and it’s a reason why I stay on him.”

This is an incredible pickup for Brian Kelly and his staff as the 6’2, 215 pound linebacker prospect is the number five player in the state of Louisiana. The 2025 class is surely shaping up to be one of Kelly’s best classes as the class is currently number five in the country. As now a leader of this recruiting class, Moses has a message to LSU fans on how special the 2025 class can be.

“Y’all just don’t know. I am telling you. Watch. We are about to have the best class in the country. By the time I’m done, we are going to be number one in everything. It is just the beginning of it all.”
