Tulane Football Players Report for Preseason Camp

NEW ORLEANS – Cheers could be heard throughout the James W. Wilson Center Sunday afternoon as the Tulane football team reported for the first day of preseason camp. The Green Wave welcomed 96 players for the start of camp, which begins with the first practice on Monday morning.

 

The Green Wave begin preparations for their second season under head coach Willie Fritz, looking to improve on their four wins from last year. Of the 96 players that reported on Sunday, 34 are newcomers and 62 are returning players. The Wave returns 15 starters from last year, including eight starters on offense and seven starters on defense.

 

The first preseason practice will take place Monday morning inside Yulman Stadium, as the Green Wave lay the groundwork for the 2017 season. The season opener is Sept. 2 against Grambling State at 7 p.m. in Yulman Stadium.

Season tickets that includes all six home games during the 2017 season start as low as $200 for a single book and $300 for a family four-pack. Seats are available in locations throughout Yulman Stadium.

 

In addition, fans can purchase ticket mini-plans, which include the 3rd & Goal package for $75 and the Homecoming & Lagniappe package for $65. The 3rd & Goal package includes the Grambling State game, plus two additional games among Army, Tulsa, USF and Houston. The Homecoming & Lagniappe package includes the Homecoming game against Cincinnati on Nov. 4, plus any one additional home game.
