Week 11 kicks off on Thursday night (8:25 PM ET, NBC/NFLN/Amazon) in a showdown between AFC contenders as the Pittsburgh Steelers welcome the Tennessee Titans to Heinz Field. Both teams have won four consecutive games. The Titans and Steelers meet for the 78th time (including the postseason), with Pittsburgh holding a 45-32 series advantage. Pittsburgh running back LE’VEON BELL rushed for 204 yards with a touchdown and cornerback WILLIAM GAY had a 28-yard interception-return touchdown in the Steelers’ 27-24 victory in their last meeting (November 17, 2014).
Pittsburgh leads the AFC North with a 7-2 record following a 20-17 victory at Indianapolis last week. Steelers quarterback BEN ROETHLISBERGER connected on second-half touchdown passes to rookie wide receiver JU JU SMITH-SCHUSTER and tight end VANCE MC DONALD, and kicker CHRIS BOSWELL converted the game-winning 33-yard field goal as time expired in the victory. Pittsburgh wide receiver ANTONIO BROWN leads the NFL with 882 receiving yards and ties with Arizona’s LARRY FITZGERALD for the league lead with 60 catches. Linebacker RYAN SHAZIER, who recorded an interception in Week 10, has six interceptions since 2016, tied with Baltimore’s C.J. MOSLEY for the most by a linebacker over that span.
Tennessee is tied with Jacksonville for first place in the AFC South with a 6-3 record. Last week, Titans running back DE MARCO MURRAY scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) and Tennessee’s defense limited Cincinnati to 53 rushing yards in a 24-20 victory over the Bengals. Murray, who has five touchdowns (four rushing, one receiving) this season, has scored 47 scrimmage touchdowns since 2013, the most in the NFL over that span. Titans safety KEVIN BYARD leads the NFL with six interceptions and became only the fifth player since 1970 to record five interceptions in a two-game span, accomplishing the feat in Weeks 7 and 9 (Tennessee had a bye in Week 8).
