School Spotlight: Lutcher High School (Lutcher, Louisiana)

Located in Lutcher, Louisiana, the Lutcher Bulldogs are classified as being in the 4-A division and they are lead by head coach Dwain Jenkins. Coach Jenkins has been apart of the program since 2016 and his overall record there is 66-29 with 2 state championships under his belt. The program overall has 9 state championships. During his first season as a head coach, Jenkins led his team to their second straight state championships after winning in 2015 under coach Tim Detiller. Some well known players that have come from Lutcher would be WR Jarvis Landry and WR Jontre Kirklin. Both of these players went on to play professional careers after leaving Lutcher.

Coach Jenkins talked about some standouts on his team.

Reshad Sterling is one of the top players on his roster. He is a DE commit to the University of Houston but also has offers from other top colleges such as LSU, UCF, UL and Vanderbilt. He is class of 2025.

Tariot Snowden is a 3 year starter for the Bulldogs. He is LB and has been a crucial part of the defensive game for the Bulldogs.

Trenton Chaney is a RB and is returning as Lutcher leading playmaker. He had a great season last year and Jenkins is hoping this year he can continue to make the crucial plays for the Bulldogs. He most recently committed to playing for the University of Louisiana Lafayette.

Damiuem Marcel is returning as a 4 year starter. He is one of Lutcher top WR and has come up big for the Bulldogs when they needed it in the past 3 seasons so there are high hopes for his senior year.

Jayden Michael is only a junior but he is definitely one to watch out for with recruits. He is a potential D1 recruit in his position in the OL.
