Aiden Melancon is a 5’5, 140lbs. WR/DB from Maringouin, Louisiana and attends North Iberville. He also was able to be selected and participate in the 2023 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game for Junior High. Aiden is an amazing student athlete with a 3.3 GPA and an amazing season on the field with a 4.8/40 speed. Throughout his season this year, Aiden has averaged 400 plus rushing yards and had 3 touchdowns.
What are some things you have overcome in life?
I had to overcome my height with people telling me I was too short to play running back/wide receiver.
What are your biggest accomplishments?
My biggest accomplishment is actually being able to have carries with varsity on Friday nights as a 8th grader.
What player do you compare yourself to and why?
I compare myself to Alvin Kamara but I feel I play more like Le’veon Bell.
What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?
I would like to eventually coach football when I am done with playing football.
What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?
An interesting fact about me is I’m a big animal lover.
What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?
I enjoy being able to walk on and off the field knowing I gave it my all.
What did it mean to be able and play in the Gridiron football Bowl game?
It means a lot to put my name out there for the future to come.
What is your dream school to play for in college?
My dream school is Alabama but i really like to attend a SEC school because it’s the closest thing to the NFL.
