Rising Star: RB/LB Aydin Harrison Delhi Middle School (Delhi, LA)

Meet our latest Rising Star out of Delhi Middle School, Aydin Harrison is proving to be a game-changer on both sides of the ball. As a running back, he has the strength to power through defenders and the speed to break away for big plays. On defense, his instincts and toughness make him a force at linebacker, always ready to deliver hard hits and shut down the opposition.

What sets Aydin apart isn’t just his athletic ability it’s his dedication to getting better every day. He understands that success requires hard work, and he’s constantly refining his skills, improving his footwork, and increasing his strength. His commitment to training and football IQ development shows his determination to reach the next level.

In December, Aydin had the opportunity to showcase his talent in the Gridiron Football Junior High Bowl Game for Team North. Competing against top-tier athletes, he held his own and proved he has the potential to excel at a higher level. The experience only fueled his desire to keep pushing forward.

With a strong work ethic and a passion for the game, Aydin Harrison is a name to watch. His drive to improve and his ability to make plays in key moments show that his best football is still ahead.

As he continues to train and grow as an athlete, there’s no doubt that Aydin is on the path to becoming a standout player. His journey is just beginning, and big things are on the horizon. I had the opportunity to speak to Aydin this past week and ask him some questions you can read more about him below.

Who got you into football?

“My father got me into football. He also coached me my first year of football.”

Why do you play the game of football?

“I play the game of football because it helps me express my feelings, also it helps me prepare for other sports.”

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned through playing football?

“The biggest thing I learned through playing football is never let your emotions overcome you.”

Where do you see football going in your life?

“I see football, going far as college, due to the fact I also play baseball, so whatever university is interested in me playing both sports.”

What is your favorite football memory?

“My favorite football memory is when I faced an all-star team from Arkansas and made a very impressive catch.”

What does football mean to you?

“Football means everything to me, I use football to clear my mind.”

What challenges have you had while playing football?

“Challenges I faced during football was finding a position that best fits me.”

How did you overcome those challenges?

“I overcame that challenge by talking to coaches, but coaches inputted that I should play any position.”

How do you stay trained and in football-shape during the off-season?

“I stay in shape during the offseason by working with the varsity football team, also playing other sports.”

How are you looking to get better and improve in football?

“I look to improve my speed and my IQ, also being able to notice certain formations.”

What are some goals that you have set for yourself in the future?

“Goals that I have set for myself are to make it to the highest level of professional sports & also be able to inform others about Christ.”

Who is your favorite football player and why?

“My favorite football player is Debo Samuel because he can play slot WR and also move to the backfield.”

What football teams do you cheer for?

“I cheer for the Houston Texans.”

What do you think your biggest strength is?

“The biggest strength of my game is my aggressiveness.”

What are your goals going forward?

“My goals going forward are to win a starting position as a freshman and being able to showcase my talent no matter what.”

Do you have a fun fact about yourself?

“Fun fact about me: I’m a multi-sport athlete.”
