Rising Star: QB/S Will Boudreaux Sacred Heart of Jesus( Baton Rouge,LA)

Louisiana is home to many rising football stars, and one name that continues to gain attention is Will Boudreaux who stands 5’4 and 125 pounds. A talented quarterback and safety from Sacred Heart of Jesus, Will isn’t just defined by his physical skills his leadership, composure, and relentless drive set him apart.

Known for his ability to stay calm under pressure, Will thrives in high-stakes situations. Whether he’s commanding the offense or making a key defensive stop, his poise and decision-making make him a natural leader. He embraces every challenge as a chance to improve, constantly working on his mechanics, football IQ, and overall development.

This past December, Will had the opportunity to test his skills on a bigger stage, competing in the Gridiron Football Junior High Bowl Game for Team South where he played quarterback. The experience reinforced his potential and gave him another step toward his long-term goals to get better and grow.

But for Will, success isn’t just about making plays on the field it’s about growth in every aspect of life. He is dedicated to becoming the best version of himself, both as an athlete and as a person in school. With his passion, determination, and commitment to excellence, there’s no doubt that his future is bright. Keep an eye on Will Boudreaux this is just the beginning of his journey. I had the privilege to talk to Will and ask him to answer some questions.

Q. Who got you into football? 

    A. “My dad.  Flag football since I was 7 years old.” 

    Q. Why do you play the game of football? 

      A. “From the first time I stepped into Tiger Stadium when I was a toddler, I knew I wanted to play.  Every year I play, I learn more and more about the game and myself.

      Q. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned through playing football? 

        A. “It is the ultimate team sport.  You cannot win or lose a game alone. It takes a team effort.

        Q. Where do you see football going in your life? 

          A. “I look forward to the opportunity to play football in high school.” 

          Q. What is your favorite football memory? 

            A. “I have a Tie.  My first running touchdown as QB1 came off a low snap, a blitz, and a scramble. My first passing touchdown as QB1 was a fade to the corner. I am equally proud of both.” 

            Q. What does football mean to you? 

              A. “It challenges me to be a leader of the other ten guys in the huddle. I think this will help me for the rest of my life.” 

              Q. What challenges have you had while playing football? 

                A. “I tore my labrum this season after a hard hit and had to miss multiple games. I committed to therapy every morning determined to return before the season was over.” 

                Q. How did you overcome those challenges? 

                  A. “I reprioritized my daily schedule to get healthy and returned stronger.

                   Q. How do you stay trained and in football-shape during the off-season? 

                    A. “I exercise in my garage multiple times a week, eat heathy, drink lots of milk, and  play basketball and baseball.

                    Q. How are you looking to get better and improve in football? 

                      A. “By being intentional in everything I do in the classroom, in the gym, and on the field.

                      Q. What are some goals that you have set for yourself in the future? 

                        A. “To continue to grow mentally and physically and get the most out of my abilities to play the game for as long as I am able to do it.

                        Q. Who is your favorite football player and why? 

                          A. Joe Burrow.  I admire his ability to face adversity and commitment to overcome the obstacles in college by switching schools and his injury his rookie year in the NFL.”  

                          Q. What football teams do you cheer for? 

                            A. “LSU and Catholic High” 

                            Q. What do you think your biggest strength is? 

                              A. “Calmness under pressure

                              Q. What are your goals going forward? 

                                A. “Graduate with honors from Catholic High” 

                                Q. Do you have a fun fact about yourself? 

                                  A. “I shot a 450lb pig a few years ago.”
