Give it up for the newest Rising Star, Jaxon Cook, from the class of 2028! Jaxon popped out at the 2025 Gridiron Elite Camp located in Westwood, Texas. Jaxon is 6′ and weighs 300 lbs. He can bench 210 lbs, squat 375 lbs, and clean 205 lbs. This motivational athlete was timed at 7 seconds and 6.22 seconds for his 40 yd dash and shuttle run. Outside of football, Jaxon participates in FFA and manages to maintain a 2.9 GPA. These qualities have made Jaxon the newest Rising Star.

What did you look forward to most at camp?
“Competition, I’m really competitive, especially with 1 on 1’s.”
What did you like about the camp?
“The staff. They treat everybody with respect.”
Do you have a favorite memory from the camp?
“Just being there with my friends and making new ones.”
Do you think you performed at your best?
“No, I think I could have done way better.”
If you could go back and change anything about your performance, what would you change?
“I would probably take everything a little bit more seriously. I know a lot of people don’t get these opportunities.”
What skill do you think you performed well?
“My field I.Q, I always know what to do in situations.”
What is your biggest strength?
“When facing adversity, I always know how to lift myself up.”
Do you have any motivations for football?
“My mom. She keeps me going every day.”
Why do you continue to play?
“Once I got to high school, I really started to enjoy the sport.”
When it comes to football, what are your goals?
“To go to the next level, I want to be a coach.”
Out of all the camps available, why did you choose ours?
“I didn’t get to go the year before, and I had never done a camp before, plus it was close.”
What were you looking to get out of the camp?
“Recognition.”
Did you learn any important lessons at the camp?
“Don’t give up on reps early, don’t go halfway, and just try your hardest.”
If you could offer one piece of advice for other players participating in the camp, what would you say?
“Even if you loose a rep, you have to try again.”
