Gary Wilson is a 5’2, 140 lb, defensive lineman that shows a lot of promise. Gary attends Einstein Middle School in New Orleans and currently has a 3.1 GPA. Gary is a very motivated young man who does not allow his size to dictate the outcome of any given play, as well as having a high motor that runs through the whistle. He had an impressive 5 touchdowns this year on defense, along with an interception. Any team would be lucky to have a player, and young man on their roster like Gary Wilson.
What made you love the game of football?
Playing football in the backyard with my cousin as a kid. Ever since that moment I have loved the game.
Do you play any other sports?
I enjoy playing basketball, but mainly recreationally. I am all in on football as my organized sport.
What is your favorite subject in school?
English and Language Arts
What is your favorite highlight from playing?
Whenever I hurdled two people.
What is your dream college to play for?
I would like to play for Alabama or the LSU Tigers.
What did it mean to be able to play in the 2023 Gridiron Football All- American Bowl Game
It meant alot to me. It made me feel really good that I was selected and able to play for my team.
What is something football has taught you?
To stay focused, and you don’t have to try and outshine anyone. Just get what you need to do, done.
Do you have any pregame rituals?
Not really, I just go out there and play.
What about your game stands out?
I just be myself and go out there and play ball.
