LSU Picks Up Commitments From Dylan Carpenter and Khayree Lee After Alabama Win

Just when it seems that things cannot get any better for the LSU Tigers after the 32-31 win over Alabama, it does as recruiting for the Tigers has skyrocketed even more already working with a top five recruiting class and what is also shaking to be another great recruiting class in 2024. The Tigers picked up a representative in each class.

First, there was St. Amant High School senior and three star defensive end Dylan Carpenter, who was once committed to play for the ULL Ragin’ Cajuns, had flipped his commitment once he received the offer on the day of the LSU/Alabama game.

“First of all, I would like to thank God for blessing me with this huge opportunity, and I’m extremely excited about what the future holds. I want to thank my family, coaches, teachers, and teammates for pushing me to be the best person possible. They have all shaped me into the man I am today. This has all been such a surreal experience. I can’t thank UL enough for everything they have done for me, but I couldn’t miss this opportunity to play for the school that I’ve dreamed to play on since I was little. Therefore, I will be flipping my commitment to LSU.”

The recent commitment for the Tigers makes it their 25th commitment of the 2023 class and because of the new rules, LSU can get as many commitments as possible as long as they stay at the 85 man scholarship limit. Earlier this season, I asked him what type of player a college is going to get in the 6’4, 250 pound pass rusher and his response was this:

“I really hate losing and I love hitting people. I love winning and I’ll do anything in my power to get that done.”

The second commitment of the day comes from the 2024 class and it also comes in state. This time, it comes on the offensive side of the football in John Ehret High School three star offensive lineman Khayree Lee. At 6’5, 360 pounds, Lee is rated as the number 73 interior offensive lineman and number 29 player in Louisiana for the Class of 2024 according to On3.

Shortly after the Tigers’ win against Alabama, that was enough for Lee to commit to the Tigers.

The John Ehret junior offensive lineman chose the Tigers over other schools by Michigan State, Texas, Mississippi State, Houston, Ole Miss, and other schools.

This commitment comes a couple of days after Trinity Christian Academy four star junior quarterback Colin Hurley announced his decision to commit to the Tigers.

Right now, the Tigers’ 2024 class has seven commitments.
