GF All-American Bowl Game Commit: Cale Buhler

Cale Buhler was a part of one of the best three year runs in Episcopal High School football history under head coach Travis Bourgeois as he was an anchor on a Knights team that only loss one game in three years. At 6’2, 290 pounds, Cale is a brick wall that not a lot of defensive linemen are going to go through but being a part of the Wing T offense that the Knights run, Cale also does a great job of being quick on his feet and being utilized as a pulling guard. Cale’s strength is his biggest attribute as he can bench press 360 pounds and can squat 500 pounds. The 1st Team All-District offensive lineman and Honorable Mention defensive lineman has received offers from Huntingdon College, Louisiana Christian, and Centenary College. He will look to extend that offer list when he plays in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which has been pushed to tomorrow at 6:00 because of bad weather forecasted in the area on Friday. Cale will also like to pay tribute to a legendary name in the Baton Rouge area that will forever be associated with what he did not only in college and the NFL, but what he did for the Knights football community.

“When I received the invite to play in the Gridiron Bowl, I was very excited to see my hard work paying off. I cannot wait to play with the best players from across the country. I have to thank my coaches from all 13 years I have played for pushing me to be the best player I can be. I dedicate the game to you, Coach Jimmy Williams.”
