DITR: TE/WR Sage Chevalier, Breaux Bridge High School (Breaux Bridge, LA)

Sage Chevalier is a 6’2, 190lb. 11th grader who plays both Tight End and Wide Receiver at Breaux Bridge High School in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Sage is a very interesting student-athlete both on the field and in his classes with a GPA of a 3.5 and averaged stats of 25 catches, 180 yards, and 2 touchdowns throughout his 9th and 11th grade season. He recently participated in the Gridiron Football Elite Camp in Bossier High and had an amazing performance with two catches, including one deep catch. Overall, Sage is a very spectacular athlete that can do great things on and off the field.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

Well I have overcome some very difficult situations. My grandmother passed away in June last year so ever since she left it has been very hard but i’ve been pushing through.

What are some of your biggest accomplishments?

Some of my biggest accomplishments are making it to where I am now, as in passing all classes and staying away from trouble and also not being as statistic as what all young males are being viewed as nowadays.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

I would say I can compare myself to Keon Coleman or Chad Johnson.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

If I have the opportunity, I will go to play college ball, either JUCO, D1, or any college ball.

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

Almost everyone in my family played football, and as a child I grew up watching college football, and the NFL with my Dad, and many other family members. What I like about the sport, is that I can be free, and I can just simply let everything out on the field with no looking back.

How did it feel to participate in the camp and what was the most interesting about it?

It felt very good to participate in the camp. I been wanting to go to one and for the first time it was a very good experience. I really enjoyed it and felt like a kid in a candy store. I loved getting the ability to see new players, coaches, and I really felt that it would boost my level of exposure to college coaches.

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

I am a very kind person that helps everyone and is very hard-working both on and off the field. I’m pretty much just a great guy in general.

What colleges have you received any interest from if any and what is your dream college to play for?

I have not received any interest yet, but I would love to attend either Baylor, BYU, LSU, or Florida.
