DITR: Jamarion Washington WR/RB Huntington High School( Shreveport LA)

Jamarion Washington is a 5’8 165-pound wide receiver and running back with a 3.7 GPA. Washington is a very dynamic player who can line up at receiver and run the ball in the backfield extremely efficiently. He has very fast and twitchy quickness, can make players miss in open space, and is an excellent playmaker. This previous season, Washington had 1,000+ all-purpose yards (500+ rushing and 500+ receiving) and 10 touchdowns. Washington has received offers from Centenary, Grambling, Lane College, and Hendrix College.

What inspired you to start playing football, and how old were you when you began?

I started playing football at 4 years old, I was always the smallest on the field so every since, i have had a chip on my shoulder to be the best with the biggest heart

Can you describe your typical training routine during the season and off-season?

during the season and offseason, i train with the best trainer in the state “devin washington” we do alot of speed, plyometrics, balance and change of direction movements

What inspired to choose this position?

What inspired me to chose the position is me being able to be great in space and make people miss

Who is your biggest role model in football, and why?

My biggest role model in football is tank dell because of all the adversity he has been through, he still found a way to be on top

How do you balance academics and athletics, especially during the football season?

I balance school work with football by keeping God first and asking him to ease my mind and bless me to maintain both, and just staying focused!

Can you share a memorable moment or game from your football career so far?

My sophomore year against evangel i was forced to play QB because of a couple injuries we had, and we lost that game because i turned over the ball too many times, this season we played them again, and i was at wr and i had 260 yards and 2 tds, was like a get back!

What do you think are the most important qualities for a successful football player?

The most important qualities is effort attitude and execution

How do you handle pressure and stay focused during important games?

I handle pressure by not letting anyone getting in my mind, knowing that my team needs me and i need to make a play helps me instead of being too much on me

I have not

What are your goals for the current season and your future football career?

My goal is to make 1st team all state and first team all district, win a district and state title
