Entering his second year as head coach of Istrouma High, coach Sid Edwards put on a dominate performance in the wet, rainy, and sloppy conditions. The Istrouma Indians started their season out by not allowing a single point by the Collegiate Dolphins, and the Indians hammered 44 points with the help of star running back Kyree Paul.
Starting off the first quarter, with Istrouma first drive only lasting two plays with Kyree Paul having rushed both times that drive resulting in a touchdown. Collegiate could not find a rhythm all game they started out the first quarter by getting swarmed by the Indians, and fumbling the ball on the opening drive, then the next drive for the Indians resulted in a touchdown. Collegiate was not in positive yardage their second drive resulting in a punt. At the end of the first quarter Kyree Paul broke lose on a 50 yard rushing touchdown. First quarter ending 24-0 in Istrouma Indians favor.
Second quarter, was about what you expected after the first quarter, Kyree Paul topped off their fourth drive of the game with an immaculate break tackle 30 yard touchdown run. Things proceed to get worse for the Dolphins with a high snap on a punt causing a safety in the back of their endzone. Finally right before the half the Indians seemed to be slightly mortal, by having to punt for the first time the whole game just two minutes before the half. Dolphins could not capitalize on the punt and the first half resulted in 32-0 Istrouma.
The second half of this game was just in chew clock mode, with highlight runs from Marcus Williams who had two touchdowns in the second half. Istrouma proceeded to give Collegiate a goose egg in the stat sheet with the finally score being 44-0 Istrouma Indians on top.
