Devyn Jones is a 6’0 270lb class of 2023 defensive lineman at Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Devyn possess elite strength to move blockers and plays very strong against the run, he is also a good pass rusher and has the ability to use different moves to get to the quarterback. Jones is also a beast in the weight room boasting a 405-lb bench press and a 485-lb squat. Devyn is not only a great athlete he is also a great student, boasting a 3.7 GPA. Devyn is a great leader for the Panthers and serves as a leader on the defensive line and for the defense.
How long have you been playing football and What do you love about football?
D: I started playing football when I was 7 years old. I love the brotherhood and the bonds built through football.
What has football taught you about yourself?
D: Football has taught me that if you work hard for something you can achieve it.
Who are your biggest motivators?
D: My parents are my biggest motivators because they sacrifice everything for me to have the best life possible.
What would your coaches say about you as a player?
D: My coaches would say that I am a leader who holds all of his teammates accountable while also leading by example.
What is your biggest strength on the football field?
D: My ability to play against the run is my biggest strength on the field. I use my strength to overpower offensive lineman and stuff the run while also being able to create pressure in the pass game.
What part of your game do you want to improve on in your senior year?
D: My pass rush moves are something that I would like to improve on this season.
What should college coaches know about you?
D: College coaches should know that if they offer me an opportunity they will get my all at all times.
