DITR: Brock Harvey

Brock Harvey is a 6’4 246-pound defensive end for West Monroe High School. He currently has one offer from Nicholls State. His 40- yard dash is 4.88, his bench press max is 310, he squats 430, power cleans 330, and his pro shuttle is 4.48. His junior season he had 39 tackles, 31 of them being solo. He had 5 tackles for loss, 10 hurries, and 2 and ½ sacks. He is a fast and aggressive player. Brock is a 1st Team All-District 5a defensive end. He is a 1st team All Parish DE as well as a Honorable All Mention All-State DE.

Tell me about yourself.

I’m from West Monroe, LA. My dad and brother played at West Monroe too. We all wore the number 34. 

How did you start playing football?

I started when I was super young. It’s what everybody did, and it just stuck with me.

When you think about your football career, what is one of your biggest goals?

To get a good scholarship and go to a good school.

What do you think makes you stand out from your competition?

My size and my strength.

Who or what keeps you motivated to push yourself?

God for sure and my dad.

What has been a highlight for you in football this far?

Being a senior and being able to play during a pandemic. A lot of games have been cancelled and I’m blessed.

What is one of your biggest lessons from football?

Playing as a team and not being selfish. There’s strength in your team and not playing by yourself.

What is one of your biggest goal?

Definitely to get an interception and to win a state championship.
