When did you begin playing football and what motivated you to start playing?

I started playing football at eight years old. I played it at school, like flag football, so I got the hold of it. When I got the hold of it, I realized that I actually like playing and I was good at it! I told my mom that I wanted to play for a team to see what I can do with the pads on. I knew what I could do at school. I fell in love as I got to hit and tackle people legally without getting in trouble. That’s when I started having dreams of playing in college and the NFL. That is how I am here today!

What’s your favorite thing about being a runningback?

I love my job overall. I have one job and that is to do something with the ball when I get it. Sometimes, you will have a good offensive line. Sometimes, you will struggle a little bit. It is on you and what you do. When you have a bad offensive line, it shows you how you really play.

Do you have any specific goals for this season?

I want to score 20 touchdowns and go for 1,500 yards. I also just want to get to the State Championship and win it.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you as a player?

They would say I have a good attitude. I am a team player who doesn’t talk back. I have a good ethic and I am always on time.

What has football taught you about yourself or life?

Football has taught me to treat my brothers as family and build a brotherhood.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football in Louisiana?

I love the exposure you get in this state, and how well you get your name out there.

What would you tell younger players who want to play high school football one day?

I would tell them to stay focused and never give up. There will be times people down talk you, but you just have to use that as motivation.

What would you say are some of your strengths on the field?

I would say my athleticism is a big strength of mine. I have a great ability to cut back and a great speed.

Three words to describe yourself are?

Intelligent, athletic and honest are three words to describe myself.

What is one thing could you not go a day without?

I could not go a day without playing football.

What activities or hobbies are you involved in besides sports?

I cut hair outside of playing football!

You mentioned you’re in the Honors Program! What would you say is your favorite subject?

I would say Math is my favorite subject, I love it.

If you could vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would you pick?

I would go to Florida. I would say Miami specifically as it seems fun.
