At what age did you begin playing football?

I began playing football when I was 4 years old. I started off playing flag football. Ever since then I just kept going back every year to play.

Do you play any other sports in high school?

Yes. I do powerlifting. I also played baseball my freshman year of high school, but just powerlifting now. Powerlifting definitely helps me keep in shape so that I can compete the best I can for football season. It keeps me in shape all year round so that I don’t get out of shape during the offseason.

How do you think the coaches and your teammates would describe you as a player?

I think they’d describe me as a good person to be around. I’m a very fun guy who knows how to have a good time. Even though I’m fun, they’d say I can still be very serious. I always want to get the job done. They know I’m a good person to have in the locker room as I keep everyone happy, but I’m still a leader at the same time.

What advice would you give to younger players who want to play high school football one day?

I’d tell younger players to give it their all. You only get four years of high school so you might as well do what you want to do. Don’t have any regrets. Go hard and compete for your spot. Don’t be scared to go up against older people on the team. Make sure you have fun with everything, but still be responsible and take care of your schoolwork.

Do you have any hobbies outside of sports?

When I’m not playing football, I just love to hang out with my friends. When it gets cold here in Louisiana, I go hunting. I love to hunt deer and doe.

Do you have a favorite college or NFL athlete?

My favorite college athlete would have to be Jalen Hurts, he played for Alabama and Oklahoma. He just got drafted this year by the Philadelphia Eagles. My favorite college team would have to be Alabama, even though I’m also a LSU fan.

What’s your favorite High School memory so far on the team?

My favorite memory was when we beat Ruston High. We made a touchdown to win the game when time was running out. Everytime we win is always a good memory, but that was probably my favorite one so far.

What do you like to do in your off-season?

I like to relax and hang out with my friends when i’m not working out. The team works out every morning followed by powerlifting right after. We workout all year round.

Do you have any specific personal goals for the next season?

I really want to be a good leader. Being a person that teammates can look up to is a big goal. I just want to work harder than I’ve ever worked. It’s going to be my senior year, so I just want to go out really good.

What are some pre-game activities that your team does?

I personally always eat Chick-Fil-A before the games. I listen to music, like NBA Youngboy, and get ready for the game.

Have you played any other positions or what other positions would you want to play?

I wish I could play middle linebacker. I’ve only played center, but I would like to play middle linebacker.

How would you say motivates you the most?

I would say making my parents proud is what motivates me the most.

What has football taught you about life?

Football has taught me how to be responsible, work ethic, and accountability.

What would you say is the most challenging thing about being a center?
I would probably say snapping and stepping at the same time is the most challenging thing. I just make sure I’m quick so I can get the upper hand on everybody.
