D.I.T.R: Wiley Brazier

Our newest Diamond in the Rough is Wiley Brazier. Wiley goes to Catholic High School in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He plays Defensive Back for the Bears and is going into his Senior Season. Wiley claims “he loves football and looks forward to it everyday.” Wiley is 5’6 and weighs 145 lbs. He runs a 4.6 forty yard dash and has a max squat of 225 lbs. Wiley is currently in his second year playing for Randall Passing Academy during the off season.

When did you start playing football?

“I started playing tackle football when I was in the 8th grade.”

What is your favorite part about football?

“I love when a great play is made on the field because it shows team execution.

What is something you have learned playing football?

“It doesn’t matter who you are and where you come from if you perform you belong on the field.”

Do you play any other sports?

“I run track, I run the 100 and 200 meter dash.”

Who is your favorite college football team?

“Right now it is Georgia, I like watching the way their DBs play.”

Who is your favorite NFL Team?

“I am a New Orleans Saints Fan.”

What is your best skillset as a player?

“My speed and footwork because of how important it is at my position.”

Who is your role model?

“My parents because of how hard they have worked to put me in the school I go to. They give me so many opportunities and I want to be able to repay them for that.”

What player do you like to watch?

“I like watching Kelee Ringo on the Georgia Bulldogs.”

How do you balance school and football?

“During the season I go straight from school to practice, it can be hectic but I always make time.

What has been your most memorable moment?

“Getting my first interception ever this year.”

How do you prepare for a game?

“I like to eat a good breakfast and eat a good lunch, I listen to music, and take a nap before the game to be well rested.”

What sets you apart from other players?

“My heart. I am undersized and I know that but my confidence and motivation is what keeps me on the field.”

What is being a good teammate to you?

When you aren’t on the field be the one lifting up your team. It is the little things that matter the most when it comes to being a teammate.”

What is the hardest thing about football?

“The matchups can be difficult. Sometimes you are outmatched physically on paper but you need to grind to succeed.”
