Parkview Baptist High School defensive back Mason Warren has committed to play in the Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native is a versatile playmaker that has been a two way player for the Eagles. He has played some at running back, but excels the most as a defensive back. At 5’10, 180 pounds, Warren is a physical player that is tremendous around the football on the line of scrimmage. He is not afraid to lay the wood and his biggest strength is coming off the edge and making big negative plays in the backfield. His explosiveness, timing, and physicality gives him the knack to make big plays. What also sets him apart is the impact he makes on special teams as his timing off the snap has given him a couple of blocked field goals this season as well. His head coach Stefan LeFors has praised Warren for his dependability, leadership, and his willingness to do whatever is necessary for his team.
Also, Warren has good bloodlines as well as his father Rance Warren played football for Southern University. Just last week, Warren received his first offer from Wayne State College and is looking to accumulate more offers at the upcoming Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, which will be played on Saturday, December 30th at Memorial Stadium.
“I am extremely excited to play in the bowl and present my talent out on the field. I am halfway through my senior season and I still have a lot to prove. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to put my talent out on the field and show college coaches what I can do.”
