John Curtis High School four-star 2024 wide receiver Michael Turner has announced his commitment to LSU today on social media shortly after having a huge day at the LSU Elite Camp where he ran a blistering 4.29/40 and impressed wide receiver coach Cortez Hankton with the time.
The Patriots’ speedster immediately received an offer from the Tigers after his impressive 40-yard dash. As a top 10 wide receiver in Louisiana, Turner helped lead the Patriots to their 28th state championship by having 25 catches for 519 yards and six touchdowns. In the state championship game, Turner played a factor as he scored on a 38 yard touchdown and also added an interception on defense. Turner is an incredible athlete as he also plays basketball and runs track.
This makes it the 19th player to commit to LSU’s 2024 class and the third wide receiver, joining four-star wide recruit Joseph Stone along with three-star prospect Kylan Billiot. He is also the sixth offensive player to commit to LSU’s class. Turner chose the Tigers over other SEC schools like Florida, Georgia, Arkansas and Auburn.
LSU continues to build a fence around the state of Louisiana by picking up six of the top 10 players according to 247.
