Ojulari will now join his brother Azeez Ojulari in the NFL as his older brother currently is with the New York Giants. At LSU’s Pro Day, BJ talked about the opportunity to showcase his talent in front of NFL scouts and the advice that his older brother gave him on approaching the draft process.

“He has told me to enjoy the moment, be in the moment, take as much knowledge as I can from each interview and the whole process. Unfortunately, he did not go through the combine because of COVID so that’s an experience that he didn’t get to experience. That’s basically what he told me and to get adjusted to the speed of the game. From there, it is just playing the game of football that I have played my entire life.”

It does not come as a surprise that Ojulari is the first LSU NFL Draft pick of the Brian Kelly era. During his career at LSU, the Tigers’ standout pass rusher was a team leader on the team’s SEC West championship team. In fact, he carried on the number 18 tradition at LSU and was awarded to wear the coveted number throughout the season.

The 1st Team All-SEC selection finished his standout Tigers career with 129 career tackles, 25 tackles for loss, and 16.5 sacks in his three years at LSU.
