This year at LGF, we will be taking a look at the senior class of some Louisiana high schools and taking a look at their potential to play at the next level. This is a scouting report based solely on our expertise. Categories for each position are measured on a 1-10 scale, with 10 being well above average and 1 being well below average. We will start with the Rosepine Eagles, alma mater of Coach Andy, and see how their senior class is looking so far this season.

Smart. One of the leaders of the defense and sets the tone. Able to recognize player keys and diagnose plays. Undersized for linebacker but I could see a move to safety at the next level. Special teams play is a bonus and necessary. Future Outlook: D3 safety/special teams player.

Sure tackler. Downhill linebacker when he is at his best and consistently meets the running back in the hole at the line of scrimmage. Able to compensate for lack of athleticism with smart play recognition. Good in pass coverage. Possible safety down the line if he does not get bigger? Future Outlook: D3 linebacker

Big kid and able to beat most tackles at his level. Tight hips when turning the corner. Would like to see him at the 3 or 5-technique in a 3-4 defense. Needs consistency but can be a player in the right scheme/fit. Future Outlook: D3 D-lineman.
