After starting off the 2026 camp season strong, help us welcome the newest Rising Star, Cade Hebert, class of ’27! Cade was seen showing off his skills at the Live Oak High School Gridiron football camp. He is highly rigorous in his training and his academics, having maintained a 4.05 GPA throughout senior year. Cade impressively benches 215 lbs, squats up to 335 lbs, and has a clean of 200 lbs. He is 6 ft, weighing in at 170 lbs. Cade has achieved the awards for 2nd team All-District and All-Parish team out of Ascension Parish. These accomplishments and skills have led Cade to not only receive an offer from Gridiron for the 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game, but from colleges as well, starting with Texas Community Christian College!

I had the opportunity to interview Cade. See his answers below!
What did you look forward to most at the camp?
“I looked forward to being able to put in the extra work, and have a chance to receive a bowl game invite.”
What did you like about the camp?
“I liked that I was able to be coached by some good coaches and former players, while being able to show off my skills.”
Why did you choose this camp?
“I chose this camp because it gets me exposure to colleges, and I came last year and got top performer, so I wanted to get an invite to the bowl game this year.”
What were you looking to get out of the camp?
“I was looking to get an invite and improve my times from last year.”
What was your favorite drill you completed?
“My favorite drill at the camp was doing 1v1’s against receivers and showing how well I do in coverage.”
Was there a specific drill you would have liked to perform?
“I would have liked to have done the L-drill.”
What skills do you think you performed well?
“I performed well in the shuttle, and I did good in 7v7 against the offense.”
What time did you get on the shuttle run?
“My time was a 4.44.”
What was your 40 yard dash time?
“My 40 yard dash time was a 4.81.”
Do you think you performed at your best?
“Yes, I think so.”
If you could have done something differently, what would it have been?
“I wouldn’t really change anything I did. Although there is always room for improvement, I feel like I did pretty well overall. ”
As one of the first players to be given an offer for the bowl game, what are you most proud of?
“I’m most proud of the hard work and time I’ve put into football, by going to camps and training.”
Are there any specific skills you would like to work on before the bowl game?
“I would like to improve my press man coverage, so that way I can be a more versatile safety, who can come down and press a receiver.”
Did you learn any important lessons?
“I learned to never give up. I’ve always been the underdog, and I’ve always been humble and performed my best.”
If you could offer one piece of advice for future players participating in camps, what would it be?
“Don’t be nervous. Just go out there, have fun, and ball out. If you don’t get recognized for your work, just don’t give up and keep pushing yourself.”
