With a flashy play call from the offensive coordinator, Walker would run a reverse pass to tie the game against Dutchtown. Dutchtown would try to answer back but was unsuccessful, giving there ball back to Walker. Walker would go on and take this opportunity to put more points on the board. Trusting the wide receiver core, quarterback for Walker would throw a 50/50 ball up to his number one wide receiver. This was successful as the wide receiver would come down with the ball in the end zone.

This would allow Walker great field position. With 8 seconds left in the half, Walker would add to their lead on a deep pass into the end zone.

Walker was not done, they would go on to hold Dutchtown to a 3 & out. After receiving the punt, Walker on their first play would run the ball in for a 40+ yard rush. This is where the game started to feel as if Walker would run away with the it.

After some back and forth drives from both teams. Dutchtown would show some life in the 4th quarter scoring a touchdown to put them down two possessions. This time it would be on a read play option, with a pass to wide receiver Andrew fields.

Although Dutchtown showed some life late in the game it would not be enough to top Walker. Walker would go on to score again while trying to run out the clock. This would extend the lead to 41-20. With a few second remaining in the game Dutchtown would fight on and score one more touchdown making the final score 41-27.

It was a great matchup between two very talented teams. The game could have gone either way, but with multiple turnovers by Dutchtown it was a challenge to stop Walker in great field position. Congratulations to Walker High School as they move on to the next round, as well as for Dutchtown High School as they fought until the very end of the game.
