HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana football team’s regular season road finale on Nov. 4 at McNeese was among the Southland Conference Week 10 Television selections, the league office announced on Monday.
The 6 p.m. contest between the Lions (5-3, 5-1 Southland) and the No. 20 Cowboys (6-1, 4-1 Southland) will be televised live on Cox Sports Television. Outside of the CST viewing area, the game will be seen on ESPN3.
Southeastern carries a five-game winning streak into Saturday’s 7 p.m. contest versus No. 5 Sam Houston State at Strawberry Stadium. The game will be televised live on ESPN3 and heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (KSLU 90.9 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, Kajun 107.1 FM, WFPR 1400 AM), online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via the TuneIn Radio app.
The game versus the defending Southland champion Bearkats will double as Homecoming, rescheduled from Oct. 7 after Hurricane Nate cancelled scheduled festivities. There will be no parking in Friendship Circle and no traffic will be allowed in Friendship Circle after 10 a.m. Those with Friendship Circle parking passes will have access to Lot B parking.
The annual Homecoming parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. The 2017 Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at halftime of the SLU-SHSU Southland showdown. The game will also be Solid Gold Saturday in Strawberry Stadium and all fans are encouraged to wear their gold.
The Southeastern Louisiana Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will host the 11th Annual Game Day Gumbo Cook-Off in conjunction withSaturday’s game.
There is no cost to enter and all proceeds will benefit the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
