Six LSU Tigers Get Drafted On Days 2 and 3 of 2025 NFL Draft

On Day 1, Will Campbell was selected by the New England Patriots with the number four overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft to start the big three day event. Throughout the weekend, there were several other Tigers that were selected by NFL teams.

Day 2:

2nd Round:

New York Jets select Mason Taylor with 42nd overall pick:

The New York Jets have selected LSU’s all-time leading receiver at tight end in Mason Taylor with the 42nd overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. Only one player has been selected higher than Taylor at tight end in program history and that is David LaFleur, who was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 22nd pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. Taylor was the third tight end selected overall in this year’s draft behind Michigan’s Colston Loveland (Chicago Bears) and Penn State’s Tyler Warren (Indianapolis Colts). The son of NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor and nephew of Hall of Famer Zach Thomas finished his LSU career with 129 catches for 1,308 yards and six touchdowns. While setting records and being an All-SEC player with the Tigers, Taylor will be most known for his game winning two point conversion in 2022 against Alabama.

3rd Round:

Baltimore Ravens select OT Emery Jones Jr. with 91st overall pick:

Former Catholic High School (Baton Rouge, LA) and LSU offensive lineman Emery Jones gets selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. With Jones getting selected, this is actually the first time in program history that LSU has two offensive linemen selected in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft. The two time 2nd Team All-SEC selection has started 36 games over his career with the Tigers and has been the starting tackle opposite side of Will Campbell for three seasons.

Over his career with the Tigers, Dellinger started 30 games at three different positions including at left guard, center, and left tackle.
