Rising Star: WR/CB Tyius Marioneaux Southern University Laboratory School (Baton Rouge, LA)

Meet our latest Rising Star Tyius Marioneaux, when it comes to athleticism, versatility, and playmaking ability, Tyius, out of Southern University Laboratory School, is the full package. As a wide receiver, he’s explosive off the line, precise in his routes, and dangerous with the ball in his hands. On the other side of the ball, Tyius shines at cornerback, using his speed and instincts to lock down receivers and make game-changing plays in coverage.

Tyius doesn’t just show up on game day he lives in the grind. He’s constantly working to improve his footwork, route-running, and defensive technique. Whether it’s early mornings or extra reps after practice, Tyius puts in the time to sharpen every part of his game. His dedication and mindset are what truly set him apart.

In December, he took the next step in his journey by representing Team South in the Gridiron Football Junior High Bowl Game. Competing against top talent, Tyius proved he could perform under pressure and make an impact. The experience was a valuable one, and it’s only fueled his hunger for more.

With his dynamic skill set and relentless drive to improve, Tyius is a rising star you’ll want to remember. His ability to contribute on both sides of the ball, paired with a strong work ethic, makes his future incredibly bright. This is just the beginning of something special. I had the privilege to speak with Tyius last week and ask him a few questions about him you can read more about him below.
