Rising Star: LB Justin Miranda, Brame Middle School( Alexandria,LA)

Meet our next Rising Star, linebacker Justin Miranda. Justin attends Brame Middle school and was part of the 2024 district champion team. Although just in middle school, Justin has many accolades. He has been both varsity MVP and 3x defensive player of the game. Along with all of that, he was also a member of Team Central, the winning team for the Gridiron Football Junior High Bowl game. In the bowl game, he got 2 tackles. He has plans to attend Alexandria Senior High(ASH) and is in the class of 2029. Justin also puts work in the classroom. He is a 4.0 student, has been student of the month and student of the year. This past week I got the opportunity to interview him, and you can read what he had to say below.

What got you into playing football?

” My brother. He is my biggest role model and inspiration.

What did you think of the Gridiron Football bowl game?

” I loved it. Amazing experience and a good way to show off my talents.”

Who is your favorite player?

Troy Polamalu, Ray Lewis, and Abdul Carter

What teams do you root for?

“Bills and Ravens.”

What do you think your biggest strength is?

” My mind. I’m really adaptive, I can read what’s going on well, and my coachability.”

What are your goals going into high school?

“To make both the all district and all state team and to be recognized. “

What do you like to do outside of football?

” Nothing really, I love football too much. When I’m not playing I’m doing things like reviewing tapes.”

Do you have a favorite football memory?

“Winning district.”

What do you want to do with football in the future?

“I would like to play through high school and college and then possibly become an athletic trainer or therapist.”

What would be your dream school to play for?

” LSU, Penn State, or Oregon.”

Do you have any pregame rituals?

” I like to just prepare and put on my headphones to get ready.”
