Edna Karr 2026 4 Star DT Richard Anderson Commits To LSU

Richard Anderson celebrates with fans.

At LSU’s Friday Night Lights Camp, the Tigers got a great surprise when Edna Karr High School four-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson announced his commitment while on campus.

Playing for one of Louisiana’s most premier high school football programs, the 6’4, 325 pound defensive tackle is a consensus Top 10 in-state player and Top 200 prospect among many national recruiting sites.

With Anderson’s commitment, this is the first verbal get for LSU’s 2026 class. The New Orleans, Louisiana native has also received interest from the likes of Texas, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and others. This is a huge pickup for defensive line coach Bo Davis, who is right now trying to fill a hole at a position of need. Anderson’s high school teammate Corey Adams is a 2025 three star prospect that has also been offered by LSU so this commitment could go a long way in getting two of Edna Karr’s best players.

The 2025 class has been making noise in getting flashy offensive pieces while the 2026 class is setting the tone in making sure the pieces are set on the defensive front seven.
