Ryan Variste is a class of 2026 6’1″ 221-pound linebacker out of Baton Rouge, LA that you should keep your eyes on. As team captain, he is a valuable asset to his team and has hopes of leading his team to a state championship this year. Ryan finished the most recent season with a total of 71 tackles, a fumble, 5 sacks and many more phenomenal stats to add to his resume. He also attended one of our recent Gridiron Football Elite Camps and was chosen by a coach as one of the top performers. Ryan also puts work in in the classroom and has a 3.5+ gpa. What got you into playing football?
“I started when I was younger and my team had a good bond, and it has helped me with life skills.”
Who is your favorite player to watch?
“Dre Greenlaw.”

” Falcons.”
What do you think your biggest strength is?
” My mindset.”
What are your goals going forward?
” To win state and to get my first offer.”
What do you like to do outside of football?
” I like to help out in the community and read books.”
What is your biggest accomplishment so far?
” Being named team captain.”
What do you want to do with football in the future?
” Play at the collegiate level and then hopefully NFL”
What would be your dream school to play for?
” Georgia Tech.”
Do you have any pregame rituals?
“I like to go somewhere quiet and read bible verses and pray.”
In what ways have you grown the most since starting football?
“My maturity and the way I control my emotions has grown the most.”
What motivates you to keep playing?
” Younger me and not giving up.”
