DITR: RB Vincent Sclafini, Archbishop Hannan High School (Covington, LA)

Vincent Sclafini is a 5’9, 145lb. running back who plays for Archbishop Hannan High School in Covington, Louisiana and is in the Class of 2027. Vincent is a very impressive student-athlete with a GPA of a 3.6 and recently performed at the Gridiron Football camp in Covington, where he held a very interesting performance and got to show his agility, speed, and vision among the other players and coaches. I believe that Vincent is a very talented player that can make it further in his football career.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

There are many things I’ve overcome throughout my life. One of my biggest feats is being consistent in everything I do, which I believe is one of many keys to being successful.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

Many of my goals are yet to be accomplished but as of now, one of my biggest accomplishments is always striving to be the best version of myself and giving it everything that I got.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

The player i compare myself to the most is Christian McCaffrey. He is a small, fast, shifty, and compact back. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in speed. Which I try to mirror his game style as much as possible.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

As of now i have not thought of my future after football as I want to make it to the NFL and live out my dream of playing football at the highest level, which has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. I will have more of a plan to what I will do after my football career as I get older.

What are your goals/new things you want to accomplish for this upcoming season?

Not being able to be on varsity for this upcoming season due to eligibility rules definitely is an upset for me. With that being said i will continue to work hard and push through many obstacles. My goals for this upcoming season is to rush for 1,500 yds and have at least 7 touchdowns. My main goals for this season is to become a better player and just further develop for the next level of football.

What do you like about the sport of football and how is it significant to you?

The sport of football is my passion, i have been playing since I was a six years old. I have always wanted to play football at an elite level and be the best of the best. Playing football is the most fun I have ever had and it is an escape from all my worries. I thank God every day for football and the things he gives us. I am trying my best to dedicate my life to be the greatest football player i can be.

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

An interest fact about me is I also run track and that I like to read.

What is your dream college to play for?

My dream college to play for are LSU and FSU and by attending the camp, I will be able to give myself a better opportunity to get noticed.

How did it feel to participate in the camp and what was the most interesting thing about it?

Participating in the camp was a great opportunity to compete with others, get better at football and just overall have a good time. I loved the atmosphere out at the camp. The most interesting thing was they gave each player an individual interview, which i think was a very great thing.
