DITR: Nick Osborne

Nick plays for Tennessee High School in Bristol, TN. Nick plays all over on the defensive side of the ball, but mainly played End in 2021. Nick was named to the All-Conference Team after the 2021 season after compiling 31 Tackles and 2 Tackles for a loss. Nick is 6’1″ and weighs 195 LBS. Nick has a 3.8 GPA and is in BETA Club. For the upcoming year, Nick says he will be playing Middle Linebacker. After watching Nick’s film and talking to him, I learned that he is a hard hitting player that like to make the big play for his team. He has the speed to be a playmaker. I would like to see him use his hands better when he sheds his block, but he makes up for that with his speed. He has good strength and field awareness. Check Nick out on Twitter @osbornenick4

When did you start playing? I started when I was 8 or 9 years old for the JR Vikings in Bristol, TN.

What have you learned about yourself while playing? I have learned that it takes hard work to get to where you want to be and I have learned to stay motivated. Also I have learned you cannot take anything for granted, because I lost a coach and a teammate last year.

What would your teachers say about you?  They would say that I am a hard worker, and I am an “A” student. They would say that I am a good student.

What do you love about playing football? I love that it is a team effort, and that it takes every one of us with the same effort to get that same goal. Everyone has to be all in.

Who do you look up to? My dad, because he has sacrificed a lot for me. If had not sacrificed so much for me, then I do not know if I would be who I am today.

What motivates you? Success/Growth motivates me. In the weight room, on the field, and in the classroom I want to be the best. Everything I do, I want to do better than I did yesterday.

Are there any aspects of the game that you are working on this summer to get better for the fall? Speed, I currently run a 4.78 the last time my coaches timed us. I am working on the weighted sleds, ladders, and agility training to get faster.

What is your personal goal for this upcoming season? I want to have fun this season.

What makes you special? Why should a college recruit you? Persistence, I do not give up. I lead by example, I work hard and my teammates want to follow me. I am a member of BETA Club so I am also a good student.

What are your hobbies? I like to ride dirt bikes, fish, I like to work out, and I like to write.

Do you play any other sports? Not at this time.
