DITR: Brennan Parachek

Brennan Parachek is a Tight End in the Class of 2023 for Dexter High School in Dexter, Michigan. Parachek has a build that most players dream of having, standing in at 6’6” and 240 lbs.; he has the ability to block as well as lineman while being able to run routes as well as receivers. His route running ability really stands out as he often catches DBs on their heels and makes big plays for his offense. If you are somehow able to guard him on a route, there is no way you are going to be able to knock the ball out of his hands, his catching ability is on par with college or pro players! Parachek displays his unselfishness in the run game as he takes the role of a lineman and defends the backfield, he will do anything for his team to win. His hard work on the gridiron transfers right into the classroom as he currently has a 3.5 GPA. With a great work ethic and 2 more years of high school football ahead of him, Brennan Parachek should be a player on everyone’s radar in the future.

Do you have any pregame rituals? I kind of just get there early, catch some passes, and listen to some music.

Going into your Junior season, what are you looking forward to? Playing with my friends again, football is the greatest sport ever, going out on Friday nights and playing with the team, I just know it’ll be a great season.

Do you have a quote or anything that pushes you daily? Not really, I just have the mindset to get better every day.

What do you think a college would get out of you as a player? They would get a leader, they would also get an athlete, my skill set would help any team. I can do just about anything at my position and will do anything to win.

What do you think the best part of your game is? My IQ of the sport is really good. I know where to be on a lot of plays where most people wouldn’t, and I think that helps a lot.

What sets you apart from other TE’s? My route running and catch radius, I don’t drop many passes at all.

Would you consider yourself a Receiving, Blocking, or Hybrid TE? Hybrid TE, I think I can block and catch passes, when I work, I work on both of those skill sets.

Favorite Route to run? I really like the over the middle crossing routes, any pass that I can get the ball on. I also like catching deep passes because of my size, and I like going up and getting the ball

Do you prefer inside or outside routes? I don’t really prefer any, but I do run more inside routes.

When blocking someone bigger than you, what is your game plan? To attack them, stay square, and do everything my coaches have taught me.

What are you thinking pre-snap? I’m thinking, what can I do to help the offense advance the ball, whether that is blocking or running routes, I have also

What is your favorite part of TE?  Being able to be a part of the run game and block as well as being a top target in the passing game.
