DITR: ATH Amari Horton, La Follette High School (Madison, WI)

Amari Horton is a 6’0, 215lb. athlete who plays defensive end, line backer, and fullback for La Follette High School in Madison, Wisconsin and is in the Class of 2025. Amari is a very intelligent student with a GPA of a 3.1 and has played a very good role on both the defensive and offensive side of the football.

What are some things you have overcome in life?

I overcame not quitting when things got hard like deaths in the family and continued to push through.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

My biggest accomplishment in life is prolly being able to call my self a mentor towards the youth.

What player do you compare yourself to and why?

I don’t compare myself to any football player because I believe in 1of1 personality and I do everything my way I don’t study anyone else in my positions.

What are your plans once you’re done with football and why?

Once I’m don’t with football I want to own multiple businesses to bring in sources of income so one day I can be rich and give back to the poor.

What are your goals/new things you want to accomplish for this upcoming season?

For this upcoming season, I wanna make all conference/all state with over 120 tackles and 10+ touchdowns

What is an interesting fact about you outside of football?

Interesting fact outside of football about me is I can cook.

What colleges have you received any interest from if any and what is your dream college to play for?

I have interest from multiple d2 colleges like Upper Iowa, Carthage, and Uw Steven’s Point. I have done 2/12 visits so far and my dream colleges is NIU ,FAMU, Michigan, and Illinois.
