DITR: Alvin Celestin Jr. Terrebonne High School (Houma, Louisiana)

Alvin Celestin Jr. is a 4 star recruit from Terrebonne High School. He is a 2 year starter going into his junior year. His classifies as an Athlete, his main positions are running back and slot receiver. He is 5’9, weighing at 160 with a 3.0 GPA. Last season for Alvin he had 47 carries for 247 yards with 3 touchdowns. For receiver he had 28 receptions for 343 yards with 2 touchdowns. Currently he is sitting with offers from schools such as; Tulane, Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Nicholls, Tuskegee, Troy, and Georgia Tech but has made no official commitment yet.

I asked Alvin some questions to get more of an understanding about him and this is what he had to say.

What is one player you look up to and why?

“One player I look up to is Jaylin Lucas from Florida State because I see a lot of him in me, also because we are from the same hometown and high school.”

Who or what is your biggest motivation?

”My biggest motivation is my father.”

What is something a coach has told you that has stuck with you?

”One thing a coach has told me that sticks with me is the saying “Be Different.”

What is your favorite position to play and why?

“My favorite position to play is running back because the ball is most definitely going to be in my hands and when the ball is in my hands big things happen.”

What made you fall in love with football?

“It’s not that I love it, it’s just that I like playing it, and I enjoy playing it and also the competition that comes with it.”

What is your favorite football memory?

“My first high school game.”

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

“My goals are to be a better player than I was last season and hopefully break the school rushing touchdown record that was set by my uncle.”
