At what age did you begin to play football? What made you decide to get into the sport?

I was 9 years old when I began playing football. What made me play football was to keep my dad’s legacy going and finish what he could not.

What was the first thing about football that you fell in love with?

The first thing was hitting someone and being physically to release stress.

What is your favorite part about playing the game of football? What did it teach you at a young age?

My favorite part about playing the game of football is representing a group of people and making them happy. It taught me discipline and how to look at people differently.

Describe yourself as a player. How would your coaches and teammates describe you as a player?

How coaches and players look at me is really an outgoing person and that I would sacrifice anything to win.

Who or what has been your biggest motivation when it comes to playing?

Growing up my biggest motivation was Reggie Bush & Ray Lewis because I could relate to their life stories.

Tell me a bit about the transition from playing high school football from Louisiana to Texas.

The transition from Louisiana to Texas was kind of rough knowing I was leaving behind family and my competition would get more challenging , so I knew I had to become a better player from jump.

Do you have a favorite memory of the sport? Any moment that sticks out in your mind as a player?

My favorite moment that sticks out more to me than any play ever in high school is my first game of high school and I returned a 87 yard kickoff return.

With the COVID-19 lockdowns, what steps have you been taking as an athlete to be ready for the upcoming season?

The next steps that I’m taking is by training alone in the sand pit and watching film to see what I have against me and doing light workouts.

What are some of the biggest challenges of having to train and practice individually due to the lockdowns?

Some of the biggest challenges dealing with training individually is actually knowing what drills to do and not taking the right approach.

Is there a player, past or present, college or professional, that you look up to most and model your game after?

Derrick Stingley Jr. for sure . I look up to him because he’s a physical DB and he knows how to break on a route or knock receiver’s off their routes. His technique is unbearable and fun to watch.

Describe your skill sets as a corner, what sets you apart from other players at your position?

I get to do things other positions don’t do. I can give a hit, I can intercept a QB, I can stand out by just deflecting a pass . So I look at CB as the most dominant position on the field.

Do you have any hobbies outside of school and football that you enjoy doing? Why do you enjoy these so much?

I have this one hobby, but I look at it as a job because I train middle school kids to be like me or even better, because I want to make a change in the community.

Are there any pre game rituals or superstitions that you have? Like having to listen to certain music or eat certain foods before a big game?

I listen to certain music such as Meek Mill, Tupac and Nipsey Hussle.

During game time, what play, or moment gets you most excited as a player?

A moment that gets me hype is when the offense scores.

Finally, what are some personal goals you have set for yourself for the season? Also, what are some goals that the team has set to hope to get accomplished during the 2020 season?

My goal is to get 20+ D1 offers, most definitely from Tulane, and as for my team , we are attempting to go to state.
