RB no. 15 Kylin Champagne

Q: When did you start playing football?

I started playing flag football when I about 5 years old, two years later I started playing tackle football and I just fell in love with football from that point on.

Q: Do you play any sports other than football?

I used to play football, basketball, and baseball throughout middle school. Once I got to the 9th grade I stopped with basketball and baseball so I could focus on football.

Q: What is one of the biggest challenged you’ve faced playing football, and how did you overcome that?

I feel like one of the biggest challenges I have faced would be knowing everyone makes mistakes playing sports, it is going to happen, but it is about getting back to the next play and getting the mistake off of my mind. You have to play with short-term memory.

Q: What is your favorite part about your position:

My favorite part to me would be getting the ball handed to me and getting to score touchdowns. I get to just run through people.

Q: What is something you have learned from football so far?

In life, there is going to be a lot of adversity and you have to be able to battle through that. You have to be strong and keep pushing through life and through the adversity.

Q: Who do you idolize on the football field? Whether it is a current or former player

I am going to have to say Saquon Barkley and Jaylen Hurts. They both carry themselves very well, how they play the game, their mentality on and off the field. I take basis off of them and take lessons from them and use it to better my game. I carry myself like them.

Q: What are some of your dream colleges and why?

I don’t really have a dream college. I mainly just want to play division 1 football no matter where.

Q: What strengths do you believe you have, that makes you an impact athlete?

I feel like I have a great work ethic. I will always go the extra mile and go deeper to do the extra steps to get better

Q: How would your teammates describe you?

I think my teammates would describe me as a motivator. A person that is always pushing everyone else in the weight room. A good teammate to have around and just keep everybody focused and keep everybody locked in.

Q: What are you looking forward to this upcoming season, any specific goals for you?

I am looking forward to just doing what I do. I want to run the ball and score touchdowns. I don’t have a specific goal for myself, just my team and I’s goal which is to hopefully become state champions. No personal goals, just the teams goal.
