Braden Bays is a 6’3″ 250 lbs. defensive line prospect for Boerne High School in Boerne, Texas. Braden had a great sophomore year racking up 4 sacks, 9 QB hurries and 5 fumble recoveries for the Greyhounds. Already picking up a Sam Houston State offer, he is in line to pick up more as schools will love his physicality and his playmaking skills. He can get off his blocks quickly so that he will be able to attack in the run game. He has a great motor so he won’t be someone that needs to take a play off during an critical moment of the game. What is your favorite thing about playing football?
Getting to be allowed to hit people. It has also given me a chance to get a free college education as well

Being a band of brothers, and to have each other’s back

Baseball, basketball, and throw shot & discus in track & field

I don’t have an idol, I learn from my dad since he played at SMU from 1975-1979

My dad
How do you balance school and football?
Make time after school to minimize the distractions and work at school after practice
How do you prepare yourself for a game?
Listen to music, playing music in the locker room for my teammates. I also get a good bite to eat and good night of sleep
What is your favorite pre/post-game meal?
Pregame- grilled chicken, Postgame-steak
What is the best aspect of your game?
I have a good motor, and my competitiveness
What separates you from others?
I realized that football is my future when I was younger so that’s what drives me more than everyone else
What is your definition of being a good teammate?
Leaving it all on the field for your teammates
