CAJUN CRIPTONITE STRIKES AGAIN!

Cajun criptonite struck again last night as the Saints narrowly defeated the Panthers 12 to 9.

The Panthers, who needed to win to have any real chance of making it to the play-offs, held Drew Brees to 203 yards after a good defensive effort.

But despite their efforts the Panthers fell short and saw quarterback Cam Newton fail to deliver in crucial moments and with 1min 44 sec remaining looking for a winning touchdown, Newton was unable to move the ball up-field, failing to hit tight end Ian Thomas on fourth and 5. That gave the ball back to New Orleans, who ran out the clock.

The Saints, who improved to 12-2, now need to win only one of their two remaining games at home against Pittsburgh or Carolina again to be sure of top seeding in the NFC playoffs.

Unfortunately my Packers failed to lend a hand as with a win against the Bears, a long time rival, the Saints would have received a first round by. There seems to some vary bad internal issues with the Packers as evident by the recent firing of Head Coach Mike McCarthy. They just look defeated and unfortunately the owners have little say about the future of the dysfunctional team. It is the only publicly owned team but also the only team where the owners have no voice, but that’s another story and I am all in for the Saints.

GEAUX SAINTS!
