2026 Gridiron Football Elite Camp Series: March Recap!

After a productive first two camps of the 2026 Gridiron Football Elite Camp Series, the action continued to pick up in the month of March as we hosted two great camps at St. Louis Catholic High School and Neville High School. Here is a brief recap of the top numbers and performances from both camps. If you want to read about our camps in February, click the link below!

St. Louis Catholic Camp:

The first camp of the month found us in Lake Charles at St. Louis Catholic High School. With 40 players in attendance, this camp also marked the first time that kickers would be invited to attend a Gridiron Football camp. As usual, the camp started with a college prep talk from CEO Andy Bryson, who has college coaching experience with LSU and Southeastern. The camp format is the same as other college coaches as players get their times and measurables in the 40, shuttle, and broad jump before jumping into position drills and then, finally competition at the end.

Two players tied for the fastest 40 yard dash at St. Louis Catholic with Welsh 2027 WR/DB Jordan Strong and Iowa 2027 RB/LB Kayson Foxall running a 4.69/40. The shuttle times were even more impressive as Jordan Strong ran the fastest shuttle time of our camp series to this point with an extremely 3.98 time. Livonia 2027 WR Bo Stewart (4.21), Our Lady Queen of Hearts RB Dean Thomas (4.22), Grant 2028 QB Gage Hossieni (4.22), Comeaux 2027 LB Alexander Satchell (4.25), Barbe 2029 RB Connor Joyce (4.25), Westlake 2027 RB/LS Dax Duhon (4.25), and Northwest 2028 QB Jermaine Clark (4.28) all were quick in their own right running below a 4.3 shuttle time. Jordan Strong had an all-around standout performance tying Bo Stewart in the broad jump with a 9’5 jump as he either tied or was at the top of the three combine drills.

In 7v7 action, East Iberville 2027 QB Elijah Parker threw a perfect pass in stride to Cecilia 2027 WR Ashton Ruffin, who at 6’4, 195 pounds, took advantage of his big frame by catching multiple contested catches. Jermaine Clark threw a nice strike over the middle of the field to Dax Duhon for a touchdown. Grant Junior High 2029 QB Daniel Hossieni completed a touchdown to a wide-open Oak Park 2031 RB/WR Jayse Adams. There were some defensive plays made as well with Elton 2028 WR/DB Draven Hanley, Our Lady Queen of Hearts 2030 LB Jaxson Thomas, and Barbe 2029 LB Julion Rideau getting interceptions. Jordan Strong carried over a dominant combine performance to having multiple pass breakups and an interception on defense.

Linemen got work too as they got to do 1v1 drills and 2 on 1 drills. Finally, the camp ended with some good competition with the favorite tire pull drill. At the end of the camp, 10 more 2027 players earned invites to play in the 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. Mandeville OL Ty Cutrer, Lake Arthur LB Wyatt Monceaux, Alexander Satchell, Kayson Foxall, Jordan Strong, Elijah Parker, Ashton Ruffin, Dax Duhon, Bo Stewart, and Episcopal kicker Trace Macias were all impressive during the camp and received invitations to the bowl game because of their effort.

Along with the 10 rising seniors, six underclassmen earned Top Camp Performers as they caught the attention of the coaches that were in attendance. Those six players were St. Louis Catholic 2029 QB Kannan Patel, Rosepine 2028 OL Brent Bourget, Gage Hossieni, Julion Rideau, Church Point 2028 ATH Kylen Monroe, and Jermaine Clark. We would like to thank Coach Chris Truax, his coaching staff, and St. Louis Catholic for their help and support in putting on this event.

Neville Camp:

The fourth camp of the year, Gridiron Football made it up to North Louisiana at legendary football powerhouse Neville High School and once again, the talent there was sharp with it being our biggest camp to this point with 45 players in attendance.

As always, the camp starts with the 40 yard dash, shuttle, and broad jump. Jena 2029 WR/DB Ken Jones had the fastest 40 yard time with a 4.62. For the shuttle, Sterlington Middle School QB Cohen Hendrix had the quickest time with a 4.28. Following behind him in the 4.3’s were Bastrop 2030 DB Andrico Holmes (4.32) and Ken Jones (4.37). Ken Jones had an all-around nice display of athleticism with the best broad jump with a 9’6. Jena 2027 RB Daniel Hatcher was right behind his teammate with a 9’2 jump.

After the position drills, everybody got the chance to compete. There were plenty of linemen that stood out during the linemen competition as Jena 2029 OL Hunter Poole, Neville 2028 OL Drew Rutledge, Caldwell Parish 2029 OL Leo Valencia, LCA 2028 OL Cullen Sontag, Mangham OL Ammon Williams, and Cathedral 2028 OL Grayson Tosspon all displayed good footwork and technique, but the defensive linemen were just as good as Homer 2027 DL Karson Crew, Franklin Parish 2028 DE Malachi Grant, Tioga 2027 DE Wesley Sherman, and Mangham 2027 DT Maddox Williams all had good size, quickness off the snap, and hand placement. As the saying goes, iron sharpens iron and it was one of the best linemen competitions that we’ve seen at a Gridiron camp.

The skill players put on a good show as well. Although there was no 7v7, there was plenty of 1v1 competition between the wide receivers and defensive backs. During 1v1 competition, players like Ken Jones, Daniel Hatcher, Neville Junior High RB DK Ellerbe, Ouachita Parish 2029 WR Wesley Harris, Delhi Middle School RB Jmari Perkins, Livonia 2027 WR/DB Jamyrie Lambert, and West Monroe 2028 WR Jordan Perkins won their reps, but guys like Andrico Holmes and Livonia 2027 LB Jaedon Lathers kept receivers honest by consistently making good defensive plays on the football.

When it is all said and done, there were plenty of candidates that could have left with bowl game invites or top camp performers. In the end, six 2027 prospects received invites to the 2026 Gridiron Football All-American Bowl Game. They are Karson Crew, Jamyrie Lambert, Maddox Williams, Jaedon Lathers, Keylann Washington, and Daniel Hatcher.

There were also six underclassmen that were named Top Camp Performers and caught the attention of the coaches. Those players were Cullen Sontag, Hunter Poole, Grayson Tosspon, Ken Jones, Andrico Holmes, and Cohen Hendrix. We would like to thank Coach Mike Collins, his coaching staff, and Neville High School for their help and support in putting on this event.
